Lake Pend Oreille

Sandpoint is a small resort town on the edge of a large lake in North Idaho . Sandpoint's popularity is partly due to the beautiful, still pristine nature of Lake Pend Oreille , the fifth largest natural lake in the forty-eight lower states. Lake Pend Oreille is a lake for all water enthusiasts, you can dock your fishing boat and land your seaplane, go canoeing or water skiing.

The Lake is surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes with miles of hiking trails and view points. The Monarch Mountains are located at the northeast end of Pend Oreille toward the town of Clark fork, and which the Clark Fork river feeds into Lake Pend Oreille.

Waterfront properties come in all types on this lake with great views and remote landscapes, you will surly be able to find your preferred spot.

Fishing on Pend Oreille is second to none, some of the most sought after species being the kamloop (Rainbow Trout) and mackinaw (Lake Trout), but the lake has also a mixed ecosystem of crappie, bass, and kokanee salmon.
